Welcome to the 7th Signal Command (Theater). Headquartered at Fort Gordon Georgia, 7th Signal Command (Theater) provides Army Enterprise Network capabilities in the Army North and Army South Areas of Operation. The command is one of five theater Signal Commands worldwide, and is a subordinate element of NETCOM/9th SC (Army) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona and Army Cyber Command at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The command currently operates thirty-seven Network Enterprise Centers (NECs) providing information technology services at installations throughout CONUS. The 106th Signal Brigade commands NECs in the western United States and the 93rd Signal Brigade commands NECs in the eastern US. The 21st Signal Brigade performs a wide range of IT missions in support of the National Command Authority, operates strategic satellite facilities, and provides direct support to Army South. Two theater-level Network Operation and Security Centers perform technical tasks that enable the command to monitor, manage, and defend the network.
The Army is improving network capabilities to support warfighting, business, and intelligence functions through all operational phases. With the creation of 7th Signal Command, the Army has a single commander in the Army North and Army South region responsible for delivering these capabilities. Unity of effort under 7th Signal Command synchronizes network operations under one set of standards and procedures, leading to improvements in network capabilities, security and management of information technology investments.
